Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

So I've had my car for just over a month (and 3500 miles ). Occasionally the passenger window would go down an inch then go back up. The other day I was detailing the car and brushed against the passenger side mirror-- and guess what?! Yep, window went down then up an inch. So I did it a few times to make sure. At least I know I'm not insane. By pushing the mirror back towards the rear of the car the tiniest bit, the window would move. Tried it again today, and nothing... but occasionally it will happen. Weird huh? -Joe PS, why can't Porsche fix the damned oily drivers side windows in any of their cars? Every time I put the window down to get out my parking garage... it comes back up with a 6" wide oil slick on the interior side.

POST 2Original post

There are some posts about the passenger window doing strange things. I believe one of the threads is call "Window Poltergeist" It is a common problem. When I use the drivers side window buttton to raise the passenger window, sometimes it works OK. Other times the window goes up 3/4 of the way, and then back down to 1/4. I then need to hold the lever up continuously to get it to go all the way back up. When I work the window using the passenger lever it works fine. It only happens occasionally. Irritating to say the least. The othr minor issues that many have are rattling chrono and the hatch brake light foam coming loose. Aside from these issues a great car to have a blast with.

POST 3Original post

I have an '08 Boxster S and every time I start it I can hear the passenger window move down/up a little - not sure what is going on but I am not making a special trip to the dealer for just that.
