Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I replaced the mats with Rennline track mats since I track the car once a month.
Leading evidence: 'Replace mats' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check with rennline' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I bought some used track mats from E-bay and they work great.

The silver mats may be smooth, you'd have to check with Rennline.

It's either that or replace the mat every year or so.

Still cheaper to replace the mats than the carpet though.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've had my
Cayman
for about 5 months and have driven it for about 9000 miles. The driver's side floor mat is already worn out where I put my heels.
I can't figure out why this mat is wearing out so fast. The car gets vacuumed every two weeks. I wear tennis/boat shoes 75% of the time.
Anybody has had the same problem? Is is covered under the warranty?
My front trunk material showed wear spots after 1,200 miles of carrying suitcases following factory delivery but the cocoa mats look like new at 7,000+. Have posted before how careful I am to avoid seat bolster wear due to entering/exiting. Maybe that's when some of your mat wear is happening.
Related and unimportant thought. Does the chromed bezel around your ignition key slot look scratched and crappy due to repeated hasty insertions? Not mine. I'm careful about that too.
I have black interior and noticed that the black floor mats can stain the heel of my light colored shoes - never had this happen in any other car, so not sure if this speaks to the quality of those mats or not.
They just came in yesterday. Here's a quick photo. The texture is rough, I think that they are powder coated...very nice. The silver mats may be smooth, you'd have to check with Rennline.

I just realized I have the same problem. The heels of all my shoes are stained black. Dang. Thinking of getting new mats. Anyone purchased black Lloyd mats? Does it have the same problem?
My right heel has worn away all the pile from the floor mat by the gas pedal. (In the area shown compacted in PistolPete13's photo above). I'll have a heel pad sewn on at an auto upholstery store. It's either that or replace the mat every year or so. (I think the way I rotate my foot from gas to brake might be causing the problem.)
I've been using the Lloyd Rubbertite mat in black for over 3 years now, with no fit issues or other problems; no symptoms of wear yet.
The Rubbertite mats catch and hold water/mud/coffee very well.
+1 on Coco mats. They wear like iron, won't slip, reasonably priced, never look dirty. The people at Cocomats.com will make anything you want. Just send them a craft paper pattern.
Just to be clear, Cocomats.com has a huge number of stock patterns, including for
Cayman
both with and without
Bose
. The comment above is if you want something special, like a mat for the front trunk (for which they now have a pattern)
Does anyone have this diamond mat? It comes in polished metal finish and anodized black. Which color do you guys think is nicer? Found it on ebay and cost only half as much as the rennline mat. Please give comment for those who have it. Thanks
