For the last two days my wife's Cayman has been found with the headlights on. She parks in a building garage. Today she did not have her lights on (other than daytime running lights). She parked. Locked her car. Waited until she was sure the lights were off then went to her office. A short while later a partner came in and told her that her headlights were on. Any ideas?

Hmmm, that's strange. I dont think the head lights can be turned on without the key in the ignition! I second the above suggestion, check the settings from PCM (which I assume you have)

Well things got worse. The lights started coming on more often. We tried all settings for lights, door locked, door unlocked. Nothing helped. Then the car started to have only the left headlight come on by itself. A friend was over and managed to video tape it. The car now has a nickname "Christine" (reference Stephen King). So the battery finally died because of this (while waiting for an appointment to have it looked at) - the verdict is the control module for the headlights. Hopefully once the part comes in then the problem will be solved. If all goes well she will be renamed Chrisy
