Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can anyone tell me how to remove the backseat panel to access the quarter window on a 1999 996 cabrio? The window is down and I can't get it back up. (no jokes please) I tried pulling it up with a pair of pliers, but it won't budge. I also started to remove the interior panel by unscrewing every screw I could find, but I'm afraid I might break something if I keep pulling on it. All I want to do for now is get the window up. Thanks

POST 2Original post

I believe you can find a complete description on how to remove the regulator either on Rennlist.com or Renntech.org..... In order to bring the window up, you may have to remove the regulator, as the driving cable may be binding the mechanism.....

POST 3Original post

assuming the top is up and the switch doesn't work. Did you try putting the top up and holding the switch until all of the windows go up? Check fuse D4
