Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, Don't get to come on here as much these days, but I do still have my 996! Need your help though (and my owners manual is in a box so I don't have access to it. I've jsut done my pre-MOT check and of course, a feckin sidelight bulb is out. So I ordered what I thought was the right one and of course it wasn't (the bayonet is TOO offset). I go to most of the configurators and they're wrong too. Can anybody tell me what the right bulb is please? MY00 996 with Litronics (it's a bulb with a small offset bayonet) Thanks in advance, Dan

POST 2Original post

You should post more young man .. i've noticed you are not very active here these days :hand: The bulbs are dependant on the lights fitted so a little tricky to get the right ones .. from your description then i think it's no.5 here .. https://www.deroure.com/diagrams.asp?MAK=3&MDL=25&TBL=2739&SMA=0&SMO=0&ST=&SC=0 I'm not totally sure though .

POST 3Original post

If memory serves they are H6W and Design911 state this as well.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys - yeh, I'd got to that point: but need to ensure that bulb has an offset bayonet. And of course, I'm in a part of the country where both Porsches and their parts aren't exactly common-place I'd seen the Design911 ones too, but wasn't sure I liked them and again, I couldn't see the bayonet fitting. This is all after ordering one set that were TOO offset All for a bleddy MOT Dan PS trying to put a few more posts in too c:

POST 5Original post

H6W should be available from any autoparts store. I have Osram cool blues in mine after the LEDs I had before failed and started blinking. https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/OSRAM-Cool...s-434cb-Xenon-LOOK-Spot-Light-5820/1823169081

POST 6Original post

for a 996.2 none Litronic Side light can be referred to as BAX 9S, or BAU 15S And they are not that common
