Suggestion

I would normally just do a drain and fill a couple of times with distilled water then a final fill with Coolant and then bleed with a screw.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

So after some hard driving the other night I popped my head in my trunk to get something and heard a bubbling coming from the coolant cap. I just topped off my coolant as well as got a new coolant cap from Suncoast, so I’m curious what this could be and how worries I should be. See the attached video: https://drive.google.com/open?id=18eith2NOMmHZluSS5p73FnYtFiEVnk9o

POST 2Original post

Assuming the car was not running hot and the new cap has the correct pressure rating I wouldn't worry about it.......

POST 3Original post

I would check it again when it's cool. Perhaps it will take a little more coolant. Could be a little air in the system which should work itself out.

POST 4Original post

According to the guage cluster the tempts were normal (175) but this was after hard driving so who knows how accurate they were.

POST 5Original post

Just checked it after driving half a mile back in slow conditions, has the same “bubbling” noise. Not sure whether I should feel relieved or even more worried from this..

POST 6Original post

This does not sound right. There should be no air in the cooling system. I know getting all the air out of the cooling systems on these engines may not be easy. That is why many people use coolant flush kits. If there is air in the system the engine will run at the right temperature but there is possibility of creating hot spots inside which is not good. I would investigate if I was you.

POST 7Original post

I have not looked into a coolant flush on this car but I would assume it cannot be too different from my other cars. I would normally just do a drain and fill a couple of times with distilled water then a final fill with Coolant and then bleed with a screw. Do you have a kit in mind that might be better than this?
