Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys. Anyone recommend a good place to take a 996 I am looking at to get a PPI? Champion and Scot Finlay both told me they don't do PPIs. Thanks for the help.

POST 2Original post

Pedro's garage does PPIs, www.pedrosgarage.com I cannot recommend them as I've never been there, but I would be interested your feedback if you go there.

POST 3Original post

Henry, why would you want to keep heat in the turbo? I am a subscriber to the theory that the turbo should be kept as cool as possible as it decreases the possibility of cooking the bearings and keeps the intake air cooler (its already hot enough from the compression) and denser. If you are concerned about heat ruining other parts or finish near the turbos, then protect them with wrap or stick on blanket.

Uwom: I would agree with you. But I am looking for a PPI on a NA 996
