Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

We were driving on a rather congested four lane divided highway and I was amazed that all the other drivers didn't realize it was the new Vette.
Leading evidence: 'vette' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'vette' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I saw a new C6 on my way home from work tonight. One of the few nice things about living in Detroit is that we get to see new models on the road before everyone else. The color was speed yellow; the car is a Ferrari wanna be. Overall the C6 looks like a shrunken down version of the C5. I think the front looks similar to the new Viper and the back, oh man. The back is just waaayyy too short. It looks like the body stops just inches past the back wheels. For some reason it looked very odd. We drove side-by-side for about five minutes so I wasn't able to "study" the car.
The most interesting thing I observed was the other driver's response, or lack thereof. No one pay any attention to the car. We were driving on a rather congested four lane divided highway and I was amazed that all the other drivers didn't realize it was the new Vette. I bet the same thing will happen with the new 997 too. The enthusiasts can tell but to everyone else "they all look the same".
Conclusion
We are driving one of the most recognizable and admired cars on the road today. I'll take a 996 or 997 with 50 to 75 less horses any day of the week!!
That's one of the things that really made me decide on the Porsche (aside from the fact that I had a vette years ago) over some of the other candidates I was considering...simply that I wanted a car you just don't see everyday.
Vettes are seriously kick-*** in the acceleration and performance department but on my short drive home (15 minutes) today I saw at least 5 of them.
bummer
Same with the current and next generation Mustang, I really like the body style of both but you can't swing a cat without hitting ten of them.
On the other hand even when I see an older daily-driver 911/928/944 I still turn to look.
For me it wasn't all about raw horsepower and speed....those are nice of course, but there are other reasons to own a car.

I also love the fact that I have the only Targa in my area, let alone one of the ery (5) in a 30 mile are with a 996/911 - So I as rare as they come, Vette are everywhere in my area, you couldn't throw a rock without hitting one, when I drive on the main roads, I notice people looking at my Targa not the Vettes -
In LA there are Porsche every where. So are Vettes. So to be notice in this town you need a rare car; ferrari, lambo. I think vettes are cool cars. They are fast and they are getting better. I still like 911s better, but don't knock vettes.
Im seriously considering a vette convertible as my next car. Although I undertand your points, its still a serious car and beats out the 996 and maybe the 997 in the performance department. Hopefully, that kick Porsche hard enough in the pants to make the 998 a serious contender.
