Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Unfortunately the lack of use has been down to circumstances and bad luck rather than anything else.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

After 5 years of ownership I am seeking opinion whether to sell my 996 turbo or not.
In 5 years I have covered less than a 1000 miles taking it to 55k the car is like a museum piece as it never seen a winter road in its whole life still on original brake pipes that are green .It's a manual coupe , and it's one of the earliest registrations of the 996 turbos to grace the uk shores.
It's a fully optioned car with carbon interior pack etc so I will probably not get another one the same.
But it's just sitting in heated storage next to my other 911.
I just don't know what to do for the best.
Any ideas ?
1000 miles in 5 years does seem a terrible waste.
At 55k miles it's not a collectable car but would give someone who wants to own and drive such an icon a great purchase.
I suspect that there's a number at which you would sell. Sadly the number it's worth isn't as high as it was 3 or 4 years ago.
I'd pitch it at a little over what you'd take and hope for a suitable offer. If it doesn't come carry on with the joy of ownership. Better still - drive it. :thumb:
Unfortunately the lack of use has been down to circumstances and bad luck rather than anything else. But now time is moving on and circumstances change again.
I am now torn between heart and head
Look, if it really helps you out, I'll take it off your hands for £5-10,000.
Just trying to help lol
It depends on your circumstances and your other 911.
Regards
Vinny
Mmmmm ... I will have to consider the offer LOL

It feels different in every way , when you drive it it's a bit like playing a musical instrument. You can wring it out , but the turbo is just brutal in comparison.
One is a violin the other is a sledge hammer .
Maybe at 45 I am just getting old and steady
That's a tough call, if you planned to sell and do something productive with the money, I.e. something that you couldn't afford to do otherwise, then maybe sell it on.
At least if you do sell, you can pitch it at a price that you really feel it's worth as you won't be selling in a hurry. Then if you don't get what you want then keep it a bit longer.
FWIW I sold a car that I loved just a couple of years ago as I was moving house and needed the cash. I still miss it and wish I'd have borrowed the money I needed instead and kept the car. As mine was a modern Boxster s at least I can still replace it but yours sounds a a bit more special.
Sorry I haven't helped much🤔
Get it sold!!
I know life takes over sometimes so toys go on the back burner but 1000 miles in 5 years.
Apart from liking to know you have it there, you wouldn't miss it one bit if went. The stuff you regret selling are the cars/bikes that you have a load of memories with etc.
Plus I know it's lowish miles but I guarantee you could find a suitably similar car if you wanted to replace it.
It's not even like you'll be without a 911.
So I vote clear out the dead wood. :thumb:
Are you the same Jonathan who owns (owned) a white Integra? Possibly the same chap with whom I met at Croft track day many years ago (red Integra)?
Your forum name seems familiar.
