Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

HI All, After 3 years of being away from a 911 , just decided to buy another 911 as missed the car. The question I have is that, today when i test drove it at the dealer, pressing the pasm or sports exhaust switch did nothing, no light would turn on and even no error or failure in the instrument panel. It was as if the switches did nothing, anyways asked dealer to fix it before I pick up the car. Any idea suggestions what it might be? also anything to be concerned of. The dealer did his tests and it sounded as if both the switches were bad and needed replacement as on his test they were ok.

POST 2Original post

I suppose it could be a bad switch panel. Could be that the wiring has come undone somehow. The fact that there is no error shown in the cluster only supports the dealer's hypothesis. If the LEDs illuminated but the features didn't work or vice versa, then you'd have a bigger problem on your hands. Good luck with the new car

POST 3Original post

Switch was replaced and both started working. Wonder how both the switches ended up being bad.
