Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

It is a tidy job, but I work near a body repairs and bumped into the fella today who suggested that the sealant used will most probably be a b*tch to get off.
Leading evidence: 'Use will most probably be a b*tch' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'weak point' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check with the opc' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Some of the paint has started to flick off and the hole (probably a weak point to the whole splitter is where this gap is) has a crack in it where I went over a speedbump.

Suggestion
For a price I'd certainly recommend checking with the OPC, for the GT3 splitter they're easily the cheapest I've found.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Like the one above...
I have only had the car since Nov and even though I drive it, in general, like Miss Daisy, I have managed to scuff the splitter. This splitter doesn't like even the slightest of inclines or declines.
Some of the paint has started to flick off and the hole (probably a weak point to the whole splitter is where this gap is) has a crack in it where I went over a speedbump.
Questions:
1) Apart from going direct to Porsche, is there anywhere else I can get one? I did search and haven't found much. One guy mentioned an E-Bay shop that does 'em but can't find anything.
2) What material is the splitter? Is it possible that a body shop could fix the crack and simply repaint it? Majority of the scuffing is underneath.
3) I did ask Porsche when I first bought the car and they said they come unpainted and that the majority of 996TT owners keep them this way. Recommendations?
Thanks guys!

To find out what he has available at the moment. His stock varies all the time and you might be lucky.
He's highly recommended to deal with. Nice chap.
Mention Ian with the yellow 996, I speak to him regularly.
They're so prone to getting scuffed, scratched and falling off that it's probably better to leave it in black, but the choice is yours!

Bit of a query again:
For anyone with the aero splitter, how is it attached? The reason I ask is because Bash said the splitter just fits straight on in five mins. My splitter, however, has some black sealant (rubbery) that attaches it also.
It is a tidy job, but I work near a body repairs and bumped into the fella today who suggested that the sealant used will most probably be a b*tch to get off.
Anyone?
Never done a Turbo splitter but the GT3 splitter is attached by 15 grommets (cheap from Porsche) with 3M tape tape as well in some cases. Sounds like yours should be easy to slice through but will require careful clean up with a stanley knife and/or a suitable thinners or spirit.
The splitter I have C4S Aerokit - you can clip back into place take a bit of pulling in the right direction - its colour coded - seen a lot left in black -
