Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not the option code but the code for ordering the replacement material (Savanna Biege leather in my case). I know the books are out there for all the foreign cars that upholstery shops use to order material. Somebody knows or knows where to find this stuff of there? Thanks, Donny 2002 996TT 75 Carrera, 3.2+ 98 AMG 500

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Managed to find correct codes through a local friend.... No responses here....

POST 3Original post

They are available on the Porsche web site when you look up interior parts for the 996

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Interesting to receive the correct leather color for Savanna Biege and find it noticibily lighter than the SB leather in my 02 996. This color Leather's ageing and un-detected darkening changes the value of the color significantly. So now it's time to learn more about ageing or adjusting the color of the new material. Here is where the black leathers stand tall. Not so for lighter colors. This thread hasn't attracted much attention at all which tells me this isn't a big issue to most owners. However it is, or has to be, fixable. Any accomplished leather heads out there? Going back to the upholstery shop may be an option but might be necessary if there are direct fixes. Once again, Porsche is no help at all. This color code they provide today doesn't match the original color very well at all.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
