Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I checked the country-flag on the OP's post, saw it was USA, so I assumed accordingly.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

After the key fob fiasco everything had been good, car does everything it should. Parked it for another while and come out to the windows down about 4", spoiler up, and a dead battery. I put the battery on a tender and brought it back but upon powering up I can see why it went dead, there is a clunk/clunk that is heard. I would assume this has something to do with the top as it is now non-operational. I've been pulling the battery terminal to keep it from draining the battery again but need to find a solution. Any hints or tricks? Searched the web but haven't found someone with the same problems.

POST 2Original post

Spoiler and top are operated by the rear control module. I would guess that this may be damaged (water damage is very common on these, as it's located under the passenger seat). But it could be something else, of course. Dying battery could have reset the codings on the module as well. I'm not aware of the key fob issue you dealt with, but I would address the battery first. Replace it, as it sounds like it's been dead, in which case it won't "come back" properly. Just replace it if you know the rest of the electrical system is ok otherwise.

POST 3Original post

Rear control module is actually under the drivers seat (in a LHD car
