all of a sudden my windows, door locks and mirror controller stopped working. Checked all fuse. Not sure what caused these issue to happened I have to manually open the car using the key. What can it be?
Quite a few things to check and try out :
1. Check key
battery
2. If you have a spare key, try using that
3. Check the fuses again by using a test pen
4. Check to see if there are any fault codes being thrown out by the rear and immobiliser control modules.
Hope this helps.
So sorry, I have no idea what that could be but let me share a quick story that happened to me in my
BMW
that cause the exact same thing to happen. Perhaps it's related.
I was driving along normally and hit the power on my radio and it flickered for a second then it went dead. I was puzzled and kept driving only realize next my blinkers were not working. I started to push buttons and noticed my windows would not open, nor my sunroof. I kept pushing more buttons including my emergency blinker button and nothing still. I made it home and the first thing I looked at were all the fuses. They were all fine especially the radio. I turned the ignition on and nothing worked still, so I turned it off and this time I decided to actually pull out the radio fuse, not just inspect while still inside. I pulled the radio fuse out and my emergency blinkers came on suddenly. I tested my windows, sunroof and everything worked now. I inspected the radio fuse and it was fine so I put it back in and everything stopped working. So I called a friend that was a shop foreman at a
BMW
dealership and I asked him if it was possible for the radio to take down the whole interior system. He said he would check and get back to me. Sure enough, he called me back later and he said, the interior BUS goes through the radio. Apparently the radio can tell if windows are up and down and it is tied to some interior components so when the radio died it took those with it as long as connected. When I took power away by taking the radio fuse out, everything worked fine. I was able to find a used radio, plugged it in and 6 years later everything is still good.
So try to think what was the last thing you did before things broke? Try pulling some fuses out and see if changes anything. If something is shorting out, pulling a fuse might get point you to the a BUS issue. Also, try looking for fault codes as well with a Porsche specific scanner. A generic
OBDII
won't help but a Porsche specific one can probably help here.
Again sorry for such a scary issue and I hope some of this might help. Let us know what you find out.
Best wishes.
