Suggestion

Eibach are probably better, but either way 30mm is a long way to take the car down on the same struts, worth checking the bump stops etc are going to be ok otherwise it'll be a disappointment on our bumpy roads.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Has anyone lowered using Spax or Eibach? I'm in a dilema Which should I go for? I have asked Spax what the difference is (I believe they make both brands)founded by the reply "made in different factories and the ratings are also different" I want a nice smooth ride and with the pending poly bushes going in I am concerned things may be too harsh if get it wrong. Spax v Eibach price is almost double for the latter but that is not the issue

POST 2Original post

Eibach are probably better, but either way 30mm is a long way to take the car down on the same struts, worth checking the bump stops etc are going to be ok otherwise it'll be a disappointment on our bumpy roads. M030 isn't a whole lot of money and includes uprated roll bars, worth considering.

POST 3Original post

Lowered both my previous C2 and now Turbo with Techart springs that are made by eibach in fact eibach is stamped all over them. My C2 had a M030 kit on but just didnt get it low enough so upgraded the springs, firmed the ride up but thats how I like it. Turbo just had the springs on the standard set up again quite firm but once set up with the correct geo and tyre pressures its just how I like it.

POST 4Original post

My car has eibach springs (so i'm told - previous owner did mod) It was set up by centre gravity. Don't know how much exactly it's lowered by but it looks great (have a look at garage) & certainly handles well. Anyway - Sorry can't compare Spax v Eibach but i'm happy with the Eibach springs :thumb:
