Getting some recomendations to just run barrier hose on the bottom but the diameter starts getting large and then need some low profile clamps.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can anyone inform me on where the AC lines are routed on these later cars? Outside by the rockers or passed through the cabin center tunnel or floor area? Looking for some ideas for a early 911 project.

POST 2Original post

these shots are from a '99 C4. Fuel and such on the left under the driver and AC on the right under the passenger. The photo rotated on upload looking forward from the engine. Not the best. Hope they help Lance

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Awesome and thank you for taking the time to post the images, Were they both steel lines or Aluminum and insulated ? Over layed with any foam insulation ? Kind of reminds me of my 7 series BMW IL with LAD rear susp, pan dished out for the lines. Not like I will be doing on an early car. but probably still okay if I keep the line dia. down.

POST 4Original post

Hi Ken The lines are aluminum and have either a plastic or very thick paint coating. .5 and .75 inch diameter. After taking a good look at them I'm going to be a lot more careful driving in cities. They look like any drop off the edge of a drive way would ding them.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the dimensions. I have a thread started on the 911 forum about line routing and someone posted they ran lines on the inside corners of passengers floor board on a 356. I need to get under and see if that is something I want to consider or just find another route on the bottom of the tub. Getting some recomendations to just run barrier hose on the bottom but the diameter starts getting large and then need some low profile clamps.
