Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hi all, time for some new front discs on my 01 tt, found some proper porsche ones for £300 on the bay but I was wondering if any of you have used the following. Pagid discs - £83.23 each Sebro discs - £85.92 each I might add these are from euro car parts thanks in advance!

POST 2Original post

Think I only paid about £111+vat each for the official Porsche discs for mine which I believe are the same as the 996 Turbo. JZM were the cheapest albeit I got a good deal from the OPC....eventually. A number of people on here rate the Sebro stuff though. You might find this useful but it's 6 months old now

POST 3Original post

Have a 996 C4S (so the same parts) went Sebro Discs and Textar pads - from a company in Dorset (Marque 21) - they do advertise on eBay I think too. Did this last year and have run with no problems - parts seemed as good as OEM (probably because they are if I understand correctly). Good service/postage costs etc, which considering the weight! Will look out reciept this evening for prices.

POST 4Original post

There are loads of threads on the subject you can search. Sebro discs are OEM for many fitments and easily distinguishable because the hub is primer coated to prevent rusting, can't go far wrong with them. Take a look at the full package at http://www.design911.co.uk/fu/prod3843/Brake-Pads-and-Brake-Disc-Package-Porsche-996-Turbo/ and talk to marque21.com who are also on ebay http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/Marque-21-Porsche-parts Both mentioned quite a lot as good value sources for brakes. Don't forget to get new caliper bolts when changing discs if not already in a kit
