Any one got any problems in the north east take your car to Tom Fergusons in Gateshead, car was only boosting to 0.6bar when should have been getting 0.8 bar, he checked my car for free and found the faults within 2 minutes, first the lhs wastgate was jammed and this was due to the dump valve pipe not being connected so not actuating at all and seizing.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Any one got any problems in the north east take your car to Tom Fergusons in Gateshead, car was only boosting to 0.6bar when should have been getting 0.8 bar, he checked my car for free and found the faults within 2 minutes, first the lhs wastgate was jammed and this was due to the dump valve pipe not being connected so not actuating at all and seizing. Freed it off and remade pipe and know it is running great!

POST 2Original post

Good it's back to 0.8bar but there is a high probability that it may seize again so keep a close eye on the wastegates as usually when on-side starts to cause issues the other side ain't too far behind. On many <5 year-old cars new actuators are often required.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Rsj are paying for the turbo under warranty that had siezed to be overhauled, and are getting Tom Fergusons to do it so i dont have to drive all the wat down to slough. The RHS turbo waste gate felt perfect so think it should be fine, i am re newing the porsche warranty from next month any way so not too worried.
