Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 2Original post

I put a Design 911 cold air induction pipe on mine, could not be more impressed with the difference it made and the noise is fantastic 8) I originally added their sports panel filter as well, but to be honest, found the kit alone made more difference and stuck with the original panel.

POST 3Original post

Yep, made a difference to the throttle response and the induction roar is quality. It's a small tuning step but at least you get reminded of it everytime your right foot goes to the floor :thumb: It's a slippery slope once you get the tuning and tweaking bug....

POST 4Original post

any downsides to doing it? mpg etc or was the factory muffler on the airbox simply to please the EU noise police?

POST 5Original post

It has not made any difference to the MPG on mine at all, other than a tendancy to enjoy the noise more in tunnels etc 8)

POST 7Original post

Great induction noise, for me it was that extra bit of noise my 4S didn't have, the next mod was to put a PSE on her.......oh the noise Pulled like a train at the top of Eau Rouge.....loved it!

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

fitted fitted the cold air induction pipe and bmc filter and makes a cosiderable difference well impressed, paired with sports exhaust seems to run smoother and sound a lot better and pull more through the rev range and be more responsive, just exhausts alone sounded bit tinny but together fantastic, sound like a porsche should strongly reccomended.

POST 9Original post

Glad to hear you are pleased - I absolutely agree with the sports exhaust combination comment as well, both together really are fantastic 8)

POST 10Original post

Just to confirm, is the cold air induction pipe, the pipe that goes from the air filter to the air inlet, is it coloured? I have seen red and blue, is this the pipe your talking about, and yes i'm thick :?

POST 11Original post

Thats the one, replaces the Y shaped black tube that would be on there as standard

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yep yes that is the one usually red or blue, would prefer black so as not to stand out and look a bit chav ish but dont think anyone does them in black, well worth the money with sports exhausts.

POST 13Original post

Re: fitted +1!!! Ordered mine yesterday from Design911, about £92 inc vat & delivery, fitted this morning and boy am I pleased, sounds great and drives so much sweeter right through to red line in every gear. I think it might make a difference to my mpg as I cant stop putting my foot down!! Just keep running out of road! Well worth it, just a shame about the chavvy blue! Steve

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

chavvy yes trying to source some black 120 mm heatshrink and i am going to cover mine black,i think blue or red really lookes, boy racer ish, will keep you informed how it goes

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
