Hello, have recently installed the Porsche PCCM plus unit in MY 2000 boxster. The process took me a few hours as you have to remove the bracket, cut down few plastic trims, relocate HVAC, route cabling for USB media box and I wanted to place the microphone in the original spot (in the cluster). The radio is based on Android Allwinner 33, has a know backdoor to Android T3 launcher Model number pcrn3-WL Processor type Quadcore-T3 Android version 6.0.1 Android security patch level 1 December 2015 Firmware version V1.0 Kernel version 3.10.65 liul@hwjsy #1 Wed Jul 15 16:08:26 CST 2020 Build number t3_pcrn3-eng 6.0.1 MMB29M 20200715 test-keys MCU V202UE_K8D1735 BT-FW Version 1.0 iNand 1GB AP APP 20200818 16:05 OS 25.0.0.6.1.0.1.1 I hope to at some point the device is rooted and we can upgrade firmware / kernel with custom modules. This will allow addon of wifi, 4G, backup camera, DVB-T etc..
