Help - On Saturday i washed the salt off my 996 C2 Tip, after letting it dry the alarm whent off by itself and would not respond to plipping the key fob (but the central locking and indicators would shut as normal). Eventually it went off, and the car wouldnt start, seemingly flat battery. Charged up now alarm ok, flashing lights on dashboard, drive and 2nd on selector flashing intermittantly, ABS, Battery and Airbag light staying on, Rev counter non responsive showing 1500 rpm, no matter engine revs!!!!!!!!!!!!! Standard IT fix, disconnect battery, charge overninght, reconnect battery. Oil level check - working, rev counter - working. All now seems ok except battery light on and ABS light on, amp meter showing just over 12V. Any ideas what might have caused this and how I can fix, is it likely that something in the alarm has caused the other two. Many Thanks Chris

Are the carpets wet? Possible that the alarm is/or has been wet as this is at the lowest point under the passanger seat i think? If so, check the drainage hole are not blocked? Are the door cards wet at the bottom, failed door membranes, common topic at the moment, have a search, loads of info on here :?: http://www.911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=51268
