Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

would some one please post me the serial number and part numbers of a bosch silver battery to replace my opc version on my 99 c2 3.4 L .
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

:?:
thanks as usual for this!
thanks tbrown but the one you quote only has 75A and is 30cm to narrow in width for the std battery tray.
however the kind chaps at andrew page ltd sorted me out today.
part no 580406074 bosch s range S4010 8CN. (80A)
75A and small battery not an issue at all as it bolts down. I had this one (car sold now) put in, and is still in the car (owner is a friend) in a C4 Cab.
So what Ampage do you recommend if 75A is too small?
I note you have boughta Bosch Silver S4, I see they do S5 and now the new S6, which are bigger power, is the S4 ok power wise?
Always go for largest possible, given Porsche's less than state of the art electrics. I tried to wedge a 96Ah in there, but its too big (you can see a screwhole on the bottom plate which you think will allow for fitting, but its actually just a drain hole with no threads in it). I think I got the 80Ah in the end, but tbh 74 wont make a world of difference, unless you drive infrequently, in which case get the 80.
The std battery supplied when new was 80A as belive it or not mine was the origional battery 9 years old! the OPC replacment is also still 80A.
75A is not a problem but drilling and welding a nut to the underside of the battery tray to accomodate a smaller unit could be asking for future corrosion problems...duno.
bosch ref book and online ref states the older 911 from 1980`s which ever year you ask for. this lam told is a mistake and causes dealers many pproblems. l had to take mine down to the motor factor and seach the shelves with him for the correct Amperage and physical size. job sorted.
and the best bit.........£57-00 + vat.
thanks all.
The narrower 75Ah battery isn't a problem to fit as there is already a hole in the battery carrier to suit the Boxster. I have a S5 007 battery in mine as the original expired, and I had the 007 "in stock". If I had been choosing, I would have gone for the S5 010, which is 85Ah and the same size as the original Moll 80Ah.
Costco is a good source if you are a member.

Hi Richard,
thanks for this, this is just what I needed to know, will look into local suppliers, however, can i just check on thing which could be a typo, did you mean "S5 010", or "S5 100" because according to this
http://aa.bosch.de/aa-batterien/en/pkw/media/Product_program_S5.pdf
which as previously mentioned is often wrong, the "S5 010" is only 50ah and the "S5 100" is 85ah?
Did you mean "S5 100"?
Do Costco still do batteries? I could not see them on the website, (which seemed to be american) and thought i read on the forum somewhere that they had ceased trading them recently?
Kind Regards
Edward
Costco have sent all the S5 batteries back according to the guy at MK Costco.
I went for the Halfords jobbie in the end. £100 for a battery ffs :frustrated: Managed to fit it myself but did need an extension bar for the socket set to reach the battery clamp bolt.
Am sure I have posted all of this before somewhere?! :?:
