My dealer (porshce specialist) changed an Oxygen sensor on one side (the right hand side I would guess because the exhaust tip was totally black).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Some months ago I noticed that my 99 C4 was running very rich on start-up. Suddenly, however it also seemed to have extra performance. After a week or so, howver, it began to misfire and the check engine light came on. My dealer (porshce specialist) changed an Oxygen sensor on one side (the right hand side I would guess because the exhaust tip was totally black). I now find the car runs well once again but really smells rich for 5 mins and sometimes of raw fuel if I have just moved it out of the garage and then restarted it. It also seems to be using more fuel overall. Do your cars make a petrol/rich running odour on start-up?? Thanks Kamal
