Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I hope I can add them to mine somehow but it looks like I would have to replace the entirte bumper....not worth it.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I notice you guys in the US all have these protruding bits sticking out of your back ends. I quite like the look of them and I with city parking being a problem here in the UK, I can see how they could be practical too <img border="0" alt="[jumper]" title="" src="graemlins/jumper.gif" /> Where can i get these? Are they expensive? Are they worth having? Are there similar objects for the front?

POST 2Original post

Scouser, You might try bumperplugs.com I know they paint the pre-MY02 bumperettes to be body color. So they may have some lying around in either body color or black rubber. Most people state-side think they are ugly, but they do help scuffing when you park. There is nothing that I know of for the front end. Not sure what the cost would be, as they charge ~$200 to have them painted.

POST 3Original post

Scouser......I'm curious what your cars look like with-out the bumperettes..........do you possibly have a pic you could share? I've removed bumperettes from both Boxsters & Turbos but that regular 996 bumper has a different plate inset than either of those, and I'm curious how she looks.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

GreggT, I am away from home at the mo' but I will post some pics as soon as I get a chance. Cheers,

POST 5Original post

To put the reaer bumperettes on you will have to cut two square holes in your bumper!! See some of the pics in my signatur for the car with the bumperettes off...

POST 6Original post

msindi........I did not see any 996s on your hobbystage w/out rear bumperettes, may have missed em..........was, however able to pull up the UK AG site and got what I needed there, thanks.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

msindi, Nice site, nice car!!! It looks likethe rear bumper we have here in Europe is different to your US one. There isn't any room to even put the bumperettes on. I mean, the space where the rego plate goes in the bumber doesn't look the same as that on any US 996s I have seen posted here. When I get home this weekend I will post some pics of my car so you can see what I mean. I personally like the look of the bumperettes and I can see a good use for them too. I hope I can add them to mine somehow but it looks like I would have to replace the entirte bumper....not worth it.
