Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261026T152433Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi I am soon to sell my car after 13 years of ownership and have a couple of questions. 1 Porsche service say front discs have 40% life left in them, do you replace? they seem fine and pass the MOT etc. The reason i ask is I was once told my tyres needed replacing with 4.5 mm left on them by the OPC :?: Thanks for your help

POST 2Original post

I would replace when they are close to the minimum. They sound fine to me. MC

POST 3Original post

As above. If someone said to me you've got 40% of that pint left, do you want another.....I'd say yes. But these are brakes not pints

POST 4Original post

Unlike tyres, they only have a couple of mm between new and dead. I'd also leave them.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

great answer, thirsty now  thanks guys
