Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am getting the PSE mufflers installed tomorrow and am debating if I should keep the old mufflers. For those who have upgraded to the PSE (mufflers only no electronics) is it worth keeping the old mufflers? Did anyone have to put the originals back on in order to sell the car? Thanks, Gary Myersville, MD 18" Turbo Look Wheels Pirelli PZero N4

POST 2Original post

I'm having PSE installed right now, and I intend to keep the old mufflers. Just in case.

POST 3Original post

I've got my stock mufflers and headers in a box in an air conditioned storage. Mike

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the feedback. I believe I will do the same. This is a easy decision for me anyway given my "pack rat" nature. Do you remember the closing scene in the orignal Indiana Jones movie where there is this camera zoom out and you see all of those containers? Looks a lot like my basement C4CLeon, I remember your posts asking about pricing for the PSE, did you end up getting it all done by the dealer or were you able to find a better price? More importantly how do you like the new sound??? Gary Myersville, MD 18" Turbo Look Wheels Pirelli PZero N4

POST 5Original post

I did end up giving it to the dealer. I did not want the hassle of parts hunting, hoping they are the right ones, then finding a good installer etc... The car was in for the 15K service anyways, so I told them to go ahead. I did not get my car back yet though. Hopefully tomorrow.
