Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi from a lurker on here since last year I bought a 2003 996T with a faulty known rear wing failure and would like to go the eram route. Has anyone here had this upgrade? Rennkit's website only shows 3 UK distributors and the one closest to me no longer offers this service (RPM Technik, Long Marston). That leaves LGC Porsche (because Cardiff's even further away from me (for Chris Denning)) Does anyone else do this? Thx

POST 2Original post

Looks like its pretty straightforward to install - have you considered getting it direct and going the DIY route instead? Or getting your current garage/indy to install it? Edit: Looks like the chaps over in Netherlands can supply it too: https://www.custom-concepts.nl/en/c...t_id/884/virtuemart_category_id/52/lang/en-GB

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks - I'll enquire with these guys tomorrow

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've placed an order for the 3" kit with them - will update as and when

POST 5Original post

When it arrives, please remember: :useless: Good luck

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Look what just arrived..... Getting it fitted by my local mechy in the next few weeks - will send updates

POST 8Original post

At nearly 2k is it still cheaper than the rams from Porsche or am I missing something here?

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

~£1700 at time of purchase (purchase price in Euro) is a tad more expensive than Porsche's OEM notorious hydraulic system N.B. I went for the 3" kit - 1" more than OEM which cost a little more

POST 10Original post

So more robust? I've been through two sets. One under warranty.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

There are a few posts on this forum about the Rennkit - have a quick search The OEM hydraulic ram is prone to fail due to a design flaw The alternatives are to: 1. replace with another OEM (as you have... twice!) 2. upgrade to something like this: http://www.revolution-porsche.co.uk/upgrades/porsche-996-and-997-turbo-spoiler-repairs-and-upgrades Or 3. go the e-ram route - no hydraulic parts to fail - reduced weight due to removal of redundant components and choice of spoiler height

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No probs I would have gone down this route too but it meant taking the car up to Leeds are and leaving it with them - too far for me to do 2 round trips and I quite like the non-hydraulic idea and having the extra spoiler height option

POST 14Original post

Yes, option 2 definitely looks interesting, thanks for linking (of course now I've seen it the ***** will probably fail next time out .... )
