Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

A luggage set similar to the 40AE one popped up for the Millennium car the other day:
Leading evidence: 'Set similar' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Set similar' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi All,
Looking for some help here.
I have a 911 Millennium Edition (Only 911 made by Porsche) with 87k miles (See further info here:
https://www.total911.com/porsche-996-carrera-4-millennium-edition-driven/
)
Apparently there are only 3 in the UK currently. It is in good condition internally and externally. I am looking to part exchange it however, I wanted to get a rough estimate as to what it is currently worth.
Any help/information would be greatly apreciated.
Cheers,
John
I would say a modest premium over a standard car, assuming like for like condition.
To attract a collector for top money it would need to be low miles and unmolested.
There have been two 996 Millennium editions for sale for some time - one privately and one trade. The private one started nearer £40k IIRC:

This very low mileage one went unsold in 2016:

I think the problem is that they are so rare that perhaps few people know about them and even fewer want to buy one (rightly or wrongly). However, because rare Porsches have been increasing in value, owners are over-valuing them, as is evidenced by the cars above being on the market so long.
If you want a true market value, then I would ring around the well regarded specialists like 911 Virgin, RSJ, Paragon, Dove House etc,as they really know the Porsche market, and see what they would offer you outright or in part exchange.
As has been said, I think you will probably find this would only be slightly more than a regular 996 - so c£15-£20k depending on condition, but it would be interesting to know.
Perhaps in a few years time, people will wake up to them, so it maybe worth holding on...
Good luck.
I'm a cynical b******r
I read OP as "I'm just taking this Mellenium Edition in against another car I've got in stock and want to know if I'm onto a gold mine here or not."
Being a first post and all....
Not currently a sought after model by the collector market by all accounts. Park it up and maybe one day. Given 911R's are coming back down to earth atmosphere from outer space in terms of values, it might be a long wait.
Thanks for the replies all. I have just posted on Joe Public's thread.
I only just signed up today. Have had the car since 2004, not sure whether to keep hold of it or let it go.
Its just paint and interior colour.
The 993 vesuvio special edition doesn't really command a premium.
I very much doubt its worth any more than any other, unless someone particularly likes the colour combo.
The special editions that common premiums have more power or are stripped out lightweight spec or something.
If I'd had a car for 14 years it would have to be something very special for me to offload it
I would be treating it to everything that needs done & a damm good detail.
...isn't worth anything extra to these eyes...different paint and suicide Savannah ish interior...
Condition, engine rebuild, condition, cheap enough to get an engine rebuild and condition ought to be any potential buyers priorities...
