Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I purchased these and was impressed with the quality - still not rusty 1 year later.
Hi Guys,
I'm thinking of buying a pair of S/S replacement headers for my car.
Will the ecu 'adapt' to the mod or would I need to re-map it?
The car already runs with a K&N kit and i've had no CEL's at all. I'm just a bit concerned, with the K&N
and
more free flowing headers, that the car will run lean.
Any advice appreciated.
Davo.
I have just had this done.

I have noticed some power gains and the exhaust note is a little deeper.
Good mod to go for.

Forgot to ask, which headers did you go for and where did you get them?
I purchased these and was impressed with the quality - still not rusty 1 year later. Superb welding polished and flowed into the header.
No ECU changes as the mixture is determined automatically by the map/O2/maf sensors and should settle after the first few miles following a reset.
Big word of caution. The old header bolts can snap in the cylinder head and are difficult/expensive to remove. Its worth every minute of time to file the old bolt heads so that they are an interference fit in a 6 sided impact socket. Remove using an air impact wrench very, very gently.
If you are not doing it yourself find out the cost involved if any of the bolts snap in the head - just to save yourself a shock!
EDIT - forget my warnings, just read your other thread and its all been fixed. Good news
