Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

My Kenwood head unit went out, and I'm considering options. Since I have the Bose factory system with an amp independent of the head, and I only ever play music off my phone, I believe that I could live with just plugging my phone into the amp directly. Do I need anything more than a cable with an eighth inch male and RCA males (front and rear spliced together)? What turns the amp on and adjusts the volume? Is volume handled at the line level? How is the Kenwood connected to the Bose amp now? Your need a way to make the connection to the amp over the optical MOST Bus. As a WAG I'd guess the Nav-TV MOST-HUR. Not sure if you can connect your phone directly to that or not. Maybe Loi at Euromotorspeed could tell you more. Not sure how much help this is but maybe more than you had.
