Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Does anyone else have this issue? I have a 2007 CS. When the climate control fan is on (there's no fan speed bar showing, but display still on), I would have to press about 5 more times down before the display turns off entirely. Vice versa. With the system off (nothing showing on display), after pressing up once to turn the system on, I would have to press about 5 times before I can get the first fan speed bar to display. If there's already one or more bars showing, everything works as it should. Meaning, pressing up once will increase the speed and more bars will show, vice versa. This started happening about a month ago. It used to work normal where one more press down after all the bars are gone, the system and display will turn off. I've already tried disconnecting the battery.
