Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Check fluid level' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check fluid level' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

In the process of replacing the pads, they bled the system.

To be fair, it was at a "private" PDE style event - not my car - but we did add a bit of fluid & kept the car running the rest of the day w/no ill effects.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Has this warning ever come on for anyone? I was pushing pretty hard at a track yesterday, and this big red warning message came on the message screen, accompanied by a warning bell. Needless to say, I immediately pitted. The level was fine, precisely at the arrow mark. I restarted the car, and the message was gone. I pumped the pedal, seemed fine. Took it easy the next lap, triggered the ABS at the end of the straight for good measure, everything worked fine. Back to business as usual, it came on again at the very next hard turn!!!
Could I be generating enough G's that the sensor gets exposed? I was on R-compunds, but DOT tires, not slicks.
Can a the brake fluid in a full brake fluid reservoir be pushed off to the side enough that air gets in the lines? There was no fluid outside of the reservoir during these times.
Any danger in overfilling the reservoir to compensate?
Thanks!!
Palting,
I've had that happen - just after a brake service. Turned out the system had been improperly bled, and there was a fair amount of air still in the system.

The shop checked it the next day, and "discovered" the issue. Bled the system, proper refill, and all was OK. No problems w/the temporary and slight overfill.

PS - was this on fresh or old fluid??
I'm still jelous of your day!!! Wow!
This happened to me just 3 weeks ago at a de at Sebring. First time I ever saw that light come on in about 25 track days. My track support people checked the fluid level. It was "a little low," so they topped it off. Then they noticed that I needed new brake pads, so I said "Throw them on," and they did. No warning light after that. So check your pads.
Regards,
Mike
Oh yeah. Just remembered. In the process of replacing the pads, they bled the system. So that may have been your issue, as indicated in above post.
