Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

Excellent, really looking to seeing the full results as I also have a GT3 kitted C2 that is off to KDS in the not too distant future. Doesn't look too shabby so far! Did you have your wheels refurbed at Lepsons at the same time?

POST 4Original post

Simply stunning :worship: I may have missed it in an earlier post but where did you pick up those rear lights? Does it make the back end at night more 997 ish?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Been drip feeding these on a few other threads to gauge reaction (and see if Sundeep noticed). Plus they are really waiting for Waddesdon aswell. Inspired by these "oh so slightly chavtastic ones": http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=50764&start=0 I decided the smoked variety were more inkeeping and less "Lexus". They are from PorscheShop BUT you MUST spec SMOKED or you get CHAVED. The indicators are almost blinding at night they are so much more bright than filament bulbs.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Lepsons did the wheels. You get a lovely CD of the photos of the KDS Keltec works (and wheels) as a momento aswell (before, during, after) - over 120!

POST 7Original post

Amazing results. Those wheels look simply stunning now.

POST 9Original post

I've got the same alloys but mine look nothing like that, have they been refurbed in a non standard finish? I will have to get mine refurbed now!!

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the comments. The wheels are dark chrome main wheel, silver rim. Not sure exact name, saw some wheels I liked and with Kelly's assistance/guidance and numerous photos emailed back and forth decided on this combination. (truth be told, Kelly said most owners leave it up to him, so I bowed to his better judgement and left it in his hands) I just expected centre caps to be sprayed over, losing black painted crest, but retaining the general design as it is embossed (Note: I dumped the GT3 caps considerately added by the previous owner in some misguided attempt to "upgrade" the car). However, Lepsons excelled by masking the crest and painting the new dark chrome up to the crest boundary. As to price: don't know yet. Picking up tomorrow afternoon.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes and no. The lamp layout/design is 997.1ish, which weren't LED, and in a functional sense like a 997.2 which are LED, but are a completely different design and shape. So it is a hybrid design. The main difference is the fact the tail lights/brake lights are 2-3 times the width of the funny little square of light on the OEM 996 incandescent lamps. They also run to the outer edge of the lamp unit. This has the effect of making the car look wider. The LED indicators have that almost hypnotic effect all LED indicators have: the instantaneous on/off flash vs incandescent bulbs "gradual" ramp up and cool down cycle. I always got mesmerised by the BMW M3 with LEDs (which I think was the first mainstream OEM application).

This pic has got to win an Oscar for best art direction: Those lights again: Before: (note skanky "courtesy" wheels and my new rad grills) After

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I guess I should show my car before for comparison. I though my car was quite "clean": erm, no!

POST 15Original post

Looks stunning GT4. Are you able to (prepared to ) divulge approx detail costs? Thanks Adam
