Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Anyone got any recommendations on how to clean my grubby looking drivers seatbelt? Thanks, Mike

POST 3Original post

160 degrees dry steam with serious pressure! Bad news is the machine costs nearly £3k and we only offer this as an in-house service. You can use a cleaner like: 303 Aerospace Cleaner with a brush but it will take you forever and the results won't be quite as good. It will certainly improve it though. Regards G :thumb:

POST 4Original post

I know Mr Elite detailing is telling you the correct way however I know you are asking a DiY fix I remember when I had Red seat belts in a Golf GTI years back, I used a stiff nail-brush, a small bowl of hot water mixed with Persil Bio. Then scrubbed them real hard. Not only did they come up like new (removing sump oil) but they smelt real good too!!!

POST 5Original post

ummmmmmm ... love the smell of lavender and camomile in the morning (or some such rot) ... actually I think napalm removes almost anything, stains, tree cover, Viet Cong etc etc.

POST 6Original post

Lloyd, that must have been a hell of a big-bang failure to get sump oil on the seatbelts. Where did the pistons end up?
