now this problem is almost 1 month old i took the car for service i talked with the service guy they checked everything and they said its all fine they pluged it to the OBD and no erros appeard ..

I recently took my 996 for the regular 50,000 KM service and had the engine to be checked from any possible problems i keep getting.

when the car is cold (not been run-on for about 6-8 hours) and i try to switch it on to warm it for a minute then drive it ..

I recently took my 996 for the regular 50,000 KM service and had the engine to be checked from any possible problems i keep getting. i talked about this problem long time ago and i tried to find solution but too bad not even mechanics were able to solve it , let me re-explain the problem again. when the car is cold (not been run-on for about 6-8 hours) and i try to switch it on to warm it for a minute then drive it .. here is what happens .. i turn on the ignition key and the engine start from 0 rpm to 500 rpm without reaching any higher rpm ... and keeps at 500 rpm for about one to two minutes then the rpm rise littile bit then i hear the blower (sounds like vacum when the blower start) and everything goes fine .. meanwhile .. when the car is on the 1st start up (i.e. 0 - 500rpm) if i step on the accelerator pedal the rpm goes down as if the car what to shut down . and it happend couple of times either the rpm goes up and the blower starts or the car shakes a bit and shutdown ... now this problem is almost 1 month old i took the car for service i talked with the service guy they checked everything and they said its all fine they pluged it to the OBD and no erros appeard .. i tried to use diffrent type of fuel i even used those liquid u mix with fuel for injector,valve etc... cleaning and still the problem exist .. i hope its not a major thing as it seems to be but its really very annoyoing one more thing i would ike to mention .. when the rpm is low (the problem) i smell either oil, weird fuel burning ... but the car doesnt smoke .. its a 3.6 2002 engine ... i wonder if someone had similar problem or can think of a possible solution. thanks in advance.

hmm weird mine does that weird vacume cleaner sound too when cold then it goes away with the cold idle. I however don't have any problems with the idle being at 500 or otherwise. It sounds like maybe a vacume problem? Pretty weird.
