Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Check your Lamba Sensors should be pulsing between +1 and 0 volts I think, If they say cold to the ECU the ECU will increase revs to heat them, but normally results in hunting no continuous burn

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

no not hunting, it never has done that, it usually runs ver flat and even, just that at the moment a bit faster than i'd like!

POST 3Original post

in that case I would say that it is normal. Its only running higher because its that much colder than normal. Rgds, WalterU

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

seems to have corrected itself now, walter i think you were right.

POST 5Original post

good news!!! Take it out for a good blast - this cold weather is not too good news for an aircooled Porker. How about a drive to VW?!? Rgds, WalterU

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My SC does not like this weather, mainly causing the motor to rev up to 3000rpm shortly after start up. any ideas?
