Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

Guys, if you are looking for a cost effective solution for the Turbo OEM exhaust, (rather than shelling £2K+ on the usual suspects) then I can recommend the modification that Sports & Classic have done, I am currently running the 2nd prototype of this which is basically an internal rework of the OEM, I have had this on now since early December and over 2k miles wth no problems - The sound is much deeper and more in line with the aural experience you'd expect from these cars.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 6Original post

Any sound clips of Mike's mod? I'm thinking about doing something with my exhaust but not entirely sure what to do yet. What's it like at cruising speeds?

POST 7Original post

That's the first time I have seen that option, hmmm looks promising. Jim

POST 8Original post

My video camera is bust at the moment so I haven't got a clip, I'll try and get one this weekend. I do a lot of M-WAY miles and there is definately no drone.

POST 9Original post

Mate, do you know what exactly is done to the original box to modify it? And how long did they have the car? I did modify the exhaust on a Noble I had previously. Although to be honest it was just a case of butchering the cats, lol. I know it was crude, but it worked. It was very responsive afterwards and made a good sound. off course it wasn't for the public road!! The main reason i did that was the CATS were prone to break and then bloke the gas flow, with valve slap being a by product. Cheers Jim :thumb:
