I can't wait to get my new jack and stop using wood blocks and crossed fingers.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Who offers the best floor jack?
My ideal jack would:
- Be able to access a low car (3" clearance)
- Weight under 120 lbs
- Be able to lift 4000 lbs
- Be sturdy enough to be used weekly without breaking or leaking fluid and
- Have a handle that does not bend under use.
Thanks for your opinions!
Griot's has a good aluminum jack . Mine has survived two years of hard use without a wimper. AC hydraulics makes a very nice jack but it is considerably heavier, not sure of the exact weight but I would guess around 70-80lbs.
I'm with Greg, Griots makes an excellent (yet $$) jack.

They look to be the same ones in the link provided by Doug.
Thanks for the advice guys, you seem to have nailed it right out of the gate.
I can't wait to get my new jack and stop using wood blocks and crossed fingers.
I purchased an AC extended reach jack from Ulimate and am very happy with it. Reachs under lowered 911's, 914's and E46 M3 with no problem. Not light but I don't take it out of the garage.
I am very pleased too with the DK 20. Slides in very low, and is very safe. It does weight about 60/65 lbs as I remember. So if lightness is the requirement, the DK 20 is not my first choice.
The AC jacks are awesome - I have the DK13HLQ which is perfect for my lowered car. I don't need to lift 4000lbs though so the DK20HLQ would seem to be more appropriate for you. The size and weight do not make this a portable jack.
Also keep in mind that shipping on these is not cheap so you may want to find a nearby vendor, also some vendors will give you a PCA discount. There was also some talk about a possible group buy on these jacks at the time of the AC jackstand group buy a few weeks ago, but I don't think it got anywhere.
