Then best advice is remove the whole unit from the car and pop it in the freezer for a few hours, then allow to warm up in the house and reconnect, sounds like it could just be that the software has stuck rather than gone altogether!

Hi all, the radio and cd is working and I can hear the cd on the sat nav whiring, but the visual display is not coming on. I have tried all the usual things, but think the lighting display system has failed. I have heard it cam be fixed quite easily. Has anyone had this problem before or heard of how to fix?? Really appreciate any help. Thanks Meags

Are you able to eject the CD ? if so remove it. Then best advice is remove the whole unit from the car and pop it in the freezer for a few hours, then allow to warm up in the house and reconnect, sounds like it could just be that the software has stuck rather than gone altogether! oh make sure you have the codes before you remove it! might also be worth just ejecting the CD and then removing the battery for 10 mins first, see it that is able to clear it before you go to the hassle of taking it out (i had similar problem, this worked) Jon

Is this PCM? Might need re-setting. Hold down buttons 1,4 and 8 to re-boot the system.

Try taking out the relevant fuse and then put it back. . sorry,cant remember which number fuse it is off the top of my head. May sound bizarre but it worked for me some time ago when i had a similar problem.
