Suggestion

AFAIK, when you burn CD Audio files onto a CD from iTunes, you will only get the track numbers on the readout - there's no way to set anything to get the names of the tracks, either in iTunes or in the car's audio system.

Suggestion

In fact, the default for iTunes is not MP3, but 128K AAC which can not play at all in any of our cars, so I guess the type of disc the OP is using will be helpful in solving the issue.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I burned a few CD's using iTunes when i play them on my CDR-24 only the track number shows on my display. Is there something on my prefences that i need to change on iTunes to get the song name or artist to display instead of just the track number?

POST 2Original post

No, to the best of my knowledge, the track names are not readable by non-iTunes CD players. If there is a way to do this, I am all eyes Brian

POST 3Original post

This is what I found using Search - http://www.planet-9.com/cayman-electronics/3174-mp3-title-artist.html helpful?

POST 4Original post

Ahh...I assumed the OP had burned a standard audio CD, not an MP3. In fact, the default for iTunes is not MP3, but 128K AAC which can not play at all in any of our cars, so I guess the type of disc the OP is using will be helpful in solving the issue. Brian

POST 5Original post

You will need a m4p to MP3 conversion program. Roxio has an Audio CD burning setting. The CD-24 may play .wav files.

POST 6Original post

AFAIK, when you burn CD Audio files onto a CD from iTunes, you will only get the track numbers on the readout - there's no way to set anything to get the names of the tracks, either in iTunes or in the car's audio system. brad

POST 7Original post

CDR-24 doesn't support text on CD's - I can't even get text out of my iPod through my Dension.

POST 9Original post

So iTunes can't do it, and even if it did, the CD player can't read them. I now pronounce this thread completed Brian
