Suggestion
I can't find if it has text to speech (naming the streets etc.) I don't think so, (one strike against!) because if I replace the h/u I'd rather have the text to speech.

I don't mind that the ipod interface is that easy to use (I'll probably just leave it on shuffle etc).

Ok, So there are some D3 threads/opinions. But what about the lowly D2? I have a line on a D2 (plus the ipod extra) for a pretty decent price. I have the Bose (on my '05) and know that the installer will have to replace the amp. My question is about whether its worth it. I like the idea of a nav, and ipod interface etc. I don't mind that the ipod interface is that easy to use (I'll probably just leave it on shuffle etc). I don't need the bluetooth. I can't find if it has text to speech (naming the streets etc.) I don't think so, (one strike against!) because if I replace the h/u I'd rather have the text to speech. Are there any glaring reasons why I should avoid this model? Thanks.
