This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I just wondered if anyone had remapped their 981 non S? There seem to be quite a few different options available ranging in price from £150-£500 mostly offering around a 20/30 bhp increase and a similar increase in torque.

Mines going in at 5pm today at Phantom in Bedfordshire to have a 981 2.7 remapped, will let you know how it goes…

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks that would be great - I’m pretty local to Bedford Fingers crossed they look after you

POST 4Original post

Noir exactly relevant but I had my 2003 986s remapped by Mapro in Portsmouth. They recovered about 15 bhp lost over the years but the significant increase was in low down torque. It’s dramatically improved the drivability of the car as it peaks around 1000rpm earlier. Edited by Smollet on Sunday 12th February 10:19

Remap all done, Great company and a nice price of £274….

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Great, so in terms of how the car drives now what’s your initial impression?

I doubt it (at least not for £274). Looks like they just filled in a certificate which is worthless. I hope it drives better though - that’s all that really matters. POST 9Original post

Interesting, Phantom tuning in Bedford seem to be claiming +31hp for my 987.2 Boxster S which seems very ambitious for what appears to be a generic map. Anyone else have any experience of this company ?

POST 10Original post

It's a good idea to time some in-gear acceleration ... say 4th gear 20 mph increments on the flat, and compare before and after. Can estimate torque and power increase from this, and takes away any doubt of real-life gains.

Edited by Discombobulate on Monday 13th February 21:32 It does 0-60 now in 3.5 seconds, nearly as fast as my 2017 GT3 RS
