Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Firstly - PDLS+ was excellent with huge reach on main-beam, and generally very good control whilst using "Auto High Beam", avoiding dazzle for other road users (I hope).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Having finally picked up my (new to me) Spyder earlier in the week, I had a fairly lengthy drive back home, much of it in the dark, so had the opportunity to explore PDLS+. Firstly - PDLS+ was excellent with huge reach on main-beam, and generally very good control whilst using "Auto High Beam", avoiding dazzle for other road users (I hope). It made night driving a much safer and less stressful experience. However, there seemed to be 2 possible bugs: - during a long stretch of motorway roadworks with 50mph average speed cameras, I switched on cruise control. Unless it was total hamfistedness on my part, this caused the headlights to switch to normal high-beam - ignoring the presence of any other vehicles, and I had to dip them manually. - at the end of a dual carriageway (still a 70mph limit), the presence of street lighting fooled the system into "town" mode, which then again caused it to default to ordinary high-beam, again ignoring the presence of other vehicles. No automated system will be 100% perfect, but I am surprised that it does not default to dipped beam, rather than high beam. Anyone else experienced this?
