Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Hi guys... I have managed to get a desion 500 from ebay but theere are no installation instructions. I have checked the web site but there pdf is a little vague... I have a PCM 2 (or 2.1) with the Bose amp and cd changer... Does anyone have any more information on how these things are installed, or pictures of the layout or even the back of the PCM, before i start delving in... Also on purchasing the car it seems i have no code for the PCM, how is the best way to gain one?? Cheers forum guru's.... waz

POST 2Original post

I thought that the MOST based systems on newer cars didn't have codes. I could well be talking out of my backside though...

POST 4Original post

Yeah, when I posted about what I needed to check for when I picked up my 996 someone posted: "If your car is post 2002 (MOST BUS) then I think the headunit is coded to the car and codes are not required. " Although, I've no firsthand experience of this, but my car is pre-most and does have a code. If you google, there are applications available that can reveal the code anyway, should the worst happen and you get stuck.
