I have read that it is possible to just install the PCM monitor so that I can play MP3 CDs plus upgrade using aftermarket parts to connect iPod and USB drive.

Switch from a BMW the biggest con is probably the lack of the ability to play MP3 for me at least.

Hi, I am still a farily new CS owner and have decided that I would need the PCM but probably don't need the navigation part. Switch from a BMW the biggest con is probably the lack of the ability to play MP3 for me at least. The navigation on the bimmer was much cheaper and had the ability to plug USB drives. Not here to talk tabout that car because I do like the CS much better. The only problem is justifying the cost of a PCM on the Porsche. I have read that it is possible to just install the PCM monitor so that I can play MP3 CDs plus upgrade using aftermarket parts to connect iPod and USB drive. This is what I want to do since I rarely uses the navigation function. So far I have tried contacting Suncoast through email but no reply. To me they seem to be slow when it comes to replying because it took them a while to reply my previous order which will finally be arriving today. My question is, where else can I get the monitor? I have tried ebay, but I prefer not to buy from them. Read too many issues with the wrong version of PCM installed. I am looking for a PCM that utilizes the MOST bus since I have the BOSE system installed. Hope someone can guide me on this. Parkplace Porsche can do the installation but they said it will cost over 4k. Thanks.
