I was considering picking up a cheap run about for the commute.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've been doing 130 miles a day since buying it (currently at 77k)
I was considering picking up a cheap run about for the commute.
my 993 is my 1st choice pleasure car followed by my VW Corrado VR6

,I also have access to the wife's Freelander 2 so never really stuck for transport
my main car is actually my work car a 55 W211 E280CDI Avantguarde,bought in May 2008 with 29k miles and as at today showing a tad under 114k miles,my commute so to speak is from my house door to my Merc's door on the driveway,I'm a licenced Taxi driver up here you see :wink:
My 911 is my daily driver:
993 C4 (2001-2005) 55,000 miles total
996 C4 (2005-2009) 67,000 miles total
996 Turbo (Oct 2009- ) 7,000 miles and counting!
Don't have a daily commute, as such, but work typically 3-4 days a week and have 2-3 long round trips each week (150 miles+)

Yep, my daily commute in the C2 is between 75/85 miles a day approx 15k per year.
I just wouldn't want to do that much mileage in another car and have the
Porsche in the garage!!

My 996 is purely an evening/weekend car. My vehicle of choice for my daily commute is a bus followed by a tram. Which, by themselves aren't terrible modes of transport, but they are occasionally let down by the other people who use them...
My 996 is my only car, it goes where I go unless there are dogs involved and/ or more than 3 of us in which case the wifeybus gets the job.
It has taken 80 year old mother out to lunch, it has been on Salisbury Plain parked next to landrovers (much to everyone's amusement), and that is why I chose it rather than one of the less liveable-with options.
I've had it about 18 months and put 20k miles on.
911 is left purely for enjoyable stuff.
Leave the M25 commute and family trips to an A4 3.0 TDI Quattro Avant Auto which is pretty much the perfect all purpose vehicle.
Just couldn't face putting on boring miles on the 911. I know, I know...
However the few times I've been forced to use it every day was great, and the car liked it as well :lol:

My VW Passat TDI estate is the work-horse and gets all the grime and muck from the winter roads..
