Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Check out this thread from someone who did Euro delivery a couple weeks ago. http://www.funcarsonline.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=GT3&Number=60136&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&f part=1 No cars seem to have been delivered yet in the US, although there have been some claimed sightings. I suspect these were just 2003 Aerokit Carreras, however. My car is supposed to be arriving today in Baltimore harbor, so I hope to take delivery sometime early next week. Review and pics to follow. Karl

POST 3Original post

Hard to be sure it wasn't an Aerokit II car with a GT3 badge but a friend e-mailed me that he'd spotted a black GT3 on 85 in Sillycon Valley on Tuesday. Maybe they put the West Coast cars on a faster boat?

POST 4Original post

Watt, A GT2 and a GT3. How are you going to decide which car to drive? Enjoy, Mike

POST 5Original post

Hmm, beautiful cars, but I love that 968 CS Biased I guess...

POST 6Original post

I saw a GT3 in the parking lot of the Chateau Elan Hotel at Sebring International Raceway during a PBOC race and Driver Education event last weekend. Unfortunately, it was not tracked. There were about 5 GT3-R's in the race, however. Regards, Mike

POST 9Original post

The boat is the Yakahama or something like that and it has already arrived in Baltimore. My dealer said my car is in customs and I should see it next week. This is counter to the rumor floating on another board that PCNA is holding all the cars in port until Sept because they want all the dealers to get them at the same time. Karl

POST 10Original post

Well I know there was one boat due in on 5/28 that was the Singa Ace, I didn't know when the next Baltimore bound boat was due. Is there some way I can find out if my car is on the Yakahama or if it is on some other boat coming to Baltimore after the Yakahama and if so what the arrival date of that boat is? I looked in the computer at my local dealer last night and it said "on vessel" but that's all it said. Assuming the worst, that it was just put on vessel yesterday June 5, that would put it in Baltimore around June 15-17th right? Then how long from Baltimore to a dealership in the Midwest? Another week? two? I figure I could be as little as 1 week out if the boat has already arrived and the car is being loaded on a truck to my dealer and the computer is simply behind (I've heard that the "on vessel" designation can be up to a week behind). Or the car could just be leaving on vessel in which case it could be 3 weeks. Just trying to pin it down, can you help me? I've tried a couple of resources on the web but haven't been able to get anything better than that.

POST 11Original post

Ken, My dealer was able to tell me the name of the boat and the scheduled arrival date in Baltimore, so your's should be able to do the same. So far my car spent one day getting through customs and will spend a day or two getting PDI. Then it will wait for the next truck, which hopefully isn't too long, given we are only 1 hour from the harbor. My dealer is expecting the car early to mid-week. I would guess that yours could take a couple days longer on the truck but other than that should be the same. Your dealer should have lots of experience with how long it takes given their previous orders. They should be able to give you a fairly accurate estimate. Suncoast Porsche posts the sailing schedule on their website but it hasn't been updated since the end of May, so it doesn't show the Yakahama. Karl

POST 12Original post

My car was held in Germany for over a month last year, but once it made it to Baltimore, it was here very quickly.

POST 13Original post

I've called the dealership, I think they are out playing golf today... I'll see what I can uncover. Thanks!
