Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I was using my usual shift points @ 7,000 rpms but I'll ask Spencer if Revo bumps the redline.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

While at a DE at Lime Rock yesterday, Spencer from Farnbacher Loles downloaded the Revo program into my CS with Milltek cat-back on a (five engine hour) trial basis. Being skeptical about the benefits with software upgrades on NA engines I have to say that I was very surprised. Where two 996 GT3s previously pulled away from me on the short main straight, I was able to stay with them. Throttle response was much improved to the point where I had to re-program my right foot. What really got my attention was on the drive home from the track last night. Mind you this subjective butt dyno stuff but the gains are real. Much faster response, faster away from stops, a fatter power curve across the board. Hammered as I was - I left the house to go to the track at 4:30 am, I grinned all the way home. Is it worth $1,000? That is tough to answer. The improvment is more in the driveability than raw power. The new found urgency really puts the edge on the knife. You have heard it before, but it's what the car should have felt like when it left the factory. When it reverts to the stock program it should be quite a contrast. I'll let you know...

POST 2Original post

Does your CS have Sport Chrono Mode? I wonder how much gain do you get with a car that have the SC mode vs. none? Can anyone here enlighten me? Thanks, Chaseman:burnout: :burnout:

POST 3Original post

that's exactly what i was wondering. his observations made me think of the difference I get when i engage sport chrono mode.

POST 4Original post

My CS dosn't have Sport Crono - the question in my mind is just what what you guys posed. BTW what does the Sport Crono option cost? I didnt want that dumb looking clock on my dash.

POST 5Original post

It's a $920 option. I have it and your description of the Revo software sounds just like the e-gas advance in Sport mode. JHellow

POST 7Original post

I was using my usual shift points @ 7,000 rpms but I'll ask Spencer if Revo bumps the redline. He did say that the program alters the e-gas/throttle and he could adjust that to suit me, but the more aggressive timming and fuel map is what its all about.

POST 8Original post

I have the revo stage 2 re-map. Based on 6 dyno runs I averaged between 5 and 7 bhp gain (before and after). Throttle feels more responsive and torque curve is aggressive up to 3000rpm. Whether its worth $1000 is another story.....
