Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I was so frustrated when this happened I left my car unlocked at one point so that the alarm would not drain the battery; however I was not home so I had to check on the car like every 5 minutes

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I read the manual last nite, which didn't help me any.
In the past five days, after locking the car, I've had the alarm go off twice after <30 seconds, twice after >30 minutes. The first time, I walked back to the car, unlocked with the remote and locked again. AFAIK, it didn't go off again. The
next
time, someone notified me my alarm was going off, so went to the car, unlocked with the remote. Upon locking, the alrm would go off again. I had to manually lock the car. Earlier today, went to the bank, locked the car. Walking back to the car, the flashers were on. Went home, car in garage, locked to to see what would happen. 1 hour later, alarm goes off.

Any Ideas?
I had something similar happen to me
But when I manually locked it the issue was resolved
You probably already know that our cars are sensitive to other microwave signals.
If the car detects a microwave signal while you remotely lock the car, the alarm goes off within 30 secs to inform you that you IR signal might have been picked up by an external device.
So at this point you go head and manually lock and unlock the car
Once you do this go head and lock the car remotely
This should have reset the code and notify the car that you are actually using the P key rather then another external device
I hope this helps

Thanx
Thanks for the quick reply. I thought I did this on Saturday, when I locked and unlocked using the key a few times. I did not use the remote immediately afterwords tho. I did it again half an hour ago, this time using the remote immediately after using the key. So far so good. Will have to wait and see if it fixes the problem.
Again, thanks.
Happened again tonight. Could it have something to do with cell towers? First time, parked ~150 yds from a water tank/cell tower. Tonight, ~200 yds from the same tower. I've parked there before with no problem. Tonight, took about an hour for the alarm to go off the first time. When outside to reset the alarm, 3 minutes later, when off. Reset again and pushed the lock button on the remote twice (I think this disable the interior sensor or the entire alarm). No problems. Drove home, locked the car, alarm went off within 2 minutes. Unlocked and locked car a couple times with the key, then tried alarm again. Went off again! Locked and unlocked car with key a couple of times, waited 15-30 seconds, used remote to lock car. A few seconds later, the horn gives a short beep. The alarm doesn't go off. I leave well enough alone. Perhaps the car is haunted?
I had something similar happen to me earlier. My car was sitting for about an hour after I got home, and I went out to clean up the garage a little. All of a sudden, my alarm goes off for no reason, and I had to run inside the house to turn it off. A couple minutes after turning it off, the alarm goes off again. I didn't touch or bump the car when this happened, and I haven't had this problem before, so I'm not sure what caused it. Were you able to get your issue resolved??
Fri. night I locked the car in the garage and it went off a couple hours later. Sat. daytime it went off again. I think I have to call the local dealer and ask for their opinion. Don't want to go there today, too much snow on the roads and the driveway has to be dug out.
Quick Update: I took my car to the dealer the other day, and they said that the interior alarm sensor was bad. They replaced it the same day, and I haven't had any issues since (so far).
Another thing that can trigger the alarm is if you have loose change in the centre console especially the little ashtray

to the 12v socket. Make sure that you leave that empty or have nothing metallic in it.
