Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Hi I have about 700 miles on Cayman S and a Buzzing sound his coming from the drivers side air vent . Have tried opening and closing the vent, changing the direction of the air flow , no help. I even gave the vent a little tap . still no good. No noise when not moving , only when on the move , worse in 1st & second gear . Any thoughts. Thanks Joe Parisi Salem Ma

POST 2Original post

I had a similar problem with a vibration rattle coming from the passenger side dash vent. After some hands-on investigation, I took the car to the dealer. They quickly determined that one of the dash mounting clips had worked its way loose. The fix was quick and hassle free. Not a squeak or rattle in the cabin since. CG
